SOURDOUGH WORKSHOP

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll gain an introduction to the ancient craft of making sourdough bread by hand. Using just flour, water, salt, and a starter with wild yeast, you’ll mix your own batch of dough, plus shape another loaf to bake at home.
Bring a 2.5 or 3-litre bowl, and an apron if you like to wear one; Julie will provide everything else you need.
You’ll leave with two loaves to bake at home, Julie’s extensive workshop notes, and some of her excellent starter to use in your own sourdough experiments.
Workshop cost is $90 +HST. The cost includes materials, instruction, and an invitation to Julie’s private Facebook group, plus a 10% discount on all break-making products at Spruce.
